Renal Transplant (RTP)

Return to unrestricted duties may be considered if all of the following criteria are met:

• Counseling on the risks of contact activities by treating physician
• Successful return to training activities
• Minimum of 6 months after the transplant
• Imaging stress test (nuclear or stress echocardiogram) to at least 12 METs every 2 years (this is a consensus of the Public Safety Medicine Task Group)
• Annual report from a nephrologist with GFR, CBC, comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), PTH, vitamin D, phosphate
• Cognitive testing (see Appendix B) every 2 years or if there is a significant change in GFG
