Introduction

Law enforcement Officers (LEOs) who have known chronic kidney disease (CKD) may be capable of safe and effective performance of essential job functions (Appendix A).

However, LEOs with CKD may be at risk for a gradual decline of physiological function and/or sudden incapacitation which may interfere with their ability to perform essential job functions.
