Hearing Aids Testing

If the LEO is being evaluated for working with aided hearing, then all audiometric testing with the hearing aids in place should be done using sound field testing, one aided ear at a time, while masking the unaided ear. Masking should be determined by the audiologist who will ensure that the non-test cochlea is isolated.
